Privacy Policy of GL UK ApS
In our Privacy Policy for GL UK ApS you will find help to understand what data we collect, why we collect it and what we as a data controller use it for.


1. General
1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information you provide to us and/or that we collect about you when you are a customer of GL UK ApS or when you visit our online stores.

2.2. When processing personal data, we comply with the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Personal Data Protection Act, which may apply after 25 May 2018.

2.4. If you wish to access your personal data or if you believe that incorrect data has been recorded, or if you have any other objections, you may also contact GL UK ApS. 3. Website and cookies
3.1. When you visit one of GL UK ApS’ own webshops, we use Google Analytics cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your browser to recognize your computer on return visits. Cookies help us to see how many people visit the website (traffic measurement) and how our users interact with the website.We do not process any information about user behaviour that could link user behaviour to specific individuals.


3.2 As mentioned in section 3.1, we use Google Analytics cookies to give us insight into how visitors use our website. We do not share this data with anyone and the knowledge we gain is used solely to improve the website and user experience for you as a visitor. 3.4 Cookies delete themselves after a certain number of months (may vary), but they are renewed after each visit. If you wish to delete or block cookies, you can see guidance here.



4. Collection of personal data
4.1. If you are a customer or contact us via one of our webshops, we collect the following general personal data about you, including: name, address, postcode, city, country, mobile number and email address, as well as billing information such as company name, CVR no., etc., if applicable. In addition, the payment gateway provider collects payment card details when making purchases by credit card.


4.2. Personal data shall only be disclosed to third parties if this is in the interest of the customer or the visitor.


4.3. We do not collect any special categories of personal data (sensitive data) about you.



5. Processing of personal data
5.1. We process personal data only to the extent necessary, for example when you become a customer or sign up for our newsletter. For example, it may be necessary for us to fulfil our obligations under contracts and related services. It may also be necessary in order to meet our obligations as a Danish company, where we are subject to Danish law.


5.2 Personal data shall be understood as defined in personal data legislation.


5.3 To a certain extent we collect data and use it for profiling purposes in the interest of the customer and do not misuse your personal data. We also do not disclose your personal information without your consent unless we are required to do so by law.


5.4 If you are a customer, we will use your personal information to:

  • Fulfill your orders and deliver our products

  • Sending you order confirmations, tracking emails, etc

  • Give you customer service, support, answer your questions and comply with your requests

  • Handle the administration of the customer relationship with you

  • Personalisation of recommended products

  • Automatic alerts on new features, products, pricing, system updates, downtime, etc. via email



6. Sharing your personal data
6.1. We may share your personal data with suppliers and partners who assist us with the execution of your order or who assist us with our IT operations, hosting, logistics, marketing, etc. This means, for example, that we may share your information with our service providers, our technical support, our bank and the bank that issued the credit card used for the purchase.


6.1.2. We will share your information to the extent that we are obliged to do so, for example as a result of reporting requirements to public authorities such as the SKAT.


6.2 The management and customer service employees and IT consultants of GL UK ApS have access to the information registered about you. Responsible for the data management at GL UK ApS and the related webshops is the directør of GL UK ApS.


6.4. Information required to send a Trustpilot request is provided to Trustpilot A/S.



7. Sharing of information with recipients outside the EU/EØS
7.1 As a data controller, we will only share personal information with recipients outside the EU/EØS if they commit to complying with the same European legislation as we do.


7.2 Through our data processing agreements, we have ensured that these parties do not misuse your aggregate data.



8. Protection of personal data
8.1 According to the Personal Data Act, your personal data must be kept secure and confidential. We store your personal information on computers with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. Our security measures are monitored regularly to determine whether our user information is being handled securely and with due regard to your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100 percent security for data transfers over the Internet. This means that there may be a (limited) risk that others gain unauthorised access to information when data is transmitted and stored electronically. You provide your personal information at your own risk.


8.2 Personal data registered with GL UK ApS in connection with a transaction is stored for 5 years, calculated from the end of the relevant accounting year in which the transaction is completed, after which the data is deleted. The information is stored in accordance with the Bookkeeping Act, section 10.


8.3. Personal data that are not registered with GL UK ApS in connection with a transaction are deleted or anonymised immediately after the form for which they were collected is completed. Personal data is stored for a maximum of 12 months after the form has been completed.


8.4 The rapid development of the Internet means that changes in our processing of personal data may be necessary. We therefore reserve the right to update and change any applicable guidelines on the processing of personal data. If we do so, we will correct the date under point 10, "last updated", at the bottom of the page. In the event of any material changes, we will notify you by means of a visible notice on our websites.


8.5. To the extent that personal data relating to you are processed, you have the right under the Personal Data Act to be informed of the personal data that can be attributed to you. If it appears that the information or data processed about you is inaccurate or misleading, you have the right to have it corrected, deleted or blocked. You may object at any time to the processing of data relating to you. You may also withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint against the processing of information and data concerning you. Complaints must be submitted to the Data Protection Authority, in accordance with section 58(1) of the Personal Data Act.



9. Inconsistencies
9.1. As a registered user of GL UK ApS, you always have the right to object to registrations. You also have the right to be informed of what data has been registered about you. If your data is incorrect or misleading, you have the right to have it corrected, deleted or blocked. These rights are yours under the Personal Data Act. 9.2 If you wish to complain about your purchase, please contact customer service at [email protected]. If a solution cannot be reached, you can submit a complaint to the relevant boards in the area: Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsen, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, if the conditions are met. You have the possibility to complain about the processing of information and data concerning you. The complaint must be submitted to the Danish Data Protection Authority, cf. section 58(1).


9.3. Any dispute between the company and the customer shall be governed by Danish law.
